Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Effective September 1, 2026. Previously July 18, 2026. This policy covers health-related information collected through this website and by email. It describes what we actually do today, and nothing more.
Why this policy exists
Banyan Grove Health Collective is a cooperative being built by and for multiple myeloma patients. Anything that identifies someone as part of this community can suggest something about their health, or the health of someone close to them. We treat that inference as consumer health data and protect it accordingly, even where the information alone wouldn't normally qualify. That's also why this site runs no membership sign-up list.
What we collect
The information request form on our strategy page collects a name, email, organization, a reason category, and an optional message. It's meant for researchers, funders, and potential partners, and it asks nothing about health.
This site has no membership sign-up form. Anyone who wants to join writes to us by email, and we treat that correspondence as consumer health data, because asking to join a myeloma cooperative can suggest something about your health. It stays in our mailbox, it goes on no list, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
The member platform doesn't exist yet. When it launches, it will carry its own consent process and an updated version of this policy before any health record is collected.
What we don't collect
This site sets no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no third-party cookies. Fonts and charts are served from our own domain. We will never place advertising technology on any page of this site.
Who processes it
Two service providers touch this website's data. Kit (also known as ConvertKit) stores our supporter list, the researchers, funders, partners and press who ask to hear from us, and sends our updates. Netlify hosts the site and, like any web host, keeps standard server logs. We have no affiliates, and no one else receives your information.
What we will never do
We don't sell your information, and we won't share it for advertising. We won't change this policy retroactively: if our practices change, the new policy applies from its effective date forward, and collecting anything new will require asking you first.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, correct it, stop our emails, or have your information deleted entirely, including from Kit. Write to dd@banyangrovehealth.org and we'll respond within 30 days. Every email we send also carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately.
If we ever decline a request, we'll explain why, and you can reply to ask us to take a second look.
Changes and contact
Changes to this policy appear on this page with a new effective date. Questions go to dd@banyangrovehealth.org. This policy is maintained by Banyan Grove Health Collective, a Colorado cooperative in formation.
